The Friends of St George’s Gardens present:
A Victorian Megastar’s Story
A presentation by Debbie Radcliffe and Jules Date about Mrs Julia Glover, buried in the Gardens in 1850.
Mrs Glover died, aged 71, only days after playing Mrs Malaprop in Sheridan’s The Rivals, at Drury Lane Theatre. Two actors tell the story of Mrs Glover herself, the theatre world that she lived in and the society that she entertained so successfully and for so long. She was almost the Judi Dench of her day.
Saturday 21 October at 3pm in St George’s Gardens, Handel Street, London WC1
